New York Times Best Selling Author Annie F. Downs to Debut First Children’s Book, What Sounds Fun to You?, October 19

Popular podcaster announced new book during last night’s miniBFF Book Club
Nashville, TN…. July 27, 2021 – For over a year, every Monday night, New York Times best-selling author, podcaster, and the one who many call the “Expert on Fun,” Annie F. Downs reads a picture book just for kids via Instagram live during her popular miniBFF Book Club, which averages over 16,000 viewers each week. On last night’s episode, Downs shared with her miniBFF’s that she would be releasing her very own children’s book, What Sounds Fun to You? on October 19th. A former elementary school teacher, she is uniquely poised to share fun and light with both young and grown-up friends.
“No one knows how to have fun like kids do,” says Downs, “but sometimes, even kids can use some fresh ideas for finding fun in their lives. I adore kids, and I’m over the moon to be releasing a book just for them!”
As she mentioned last night, Downs is offering an exciting preorder bonus for orders placed before October 19th. Fans will receive a special package from the author herself, that will include a coloring page, a sticker sheet, and a peel-and-stick (personalized & hand-signed) book plate to place inside the front cover of the book.
Fun is everywhere, and with this charmingly illustrated children’s book, Downs helps children ages 3 to 8 find it! Can it be found in science experiments, at the farmer’s market, or in the kitchen? Yes! Can it be found on rainy days and starlit nights? You bet! Can it be found with friends or parents or even little brothers? Of course! It’s no secret that the world has felt a little less fun lately. What Sounds Fun to You? is the perfect book to get kids thinking about how to create their own fun right where they are, right now. And parents can reignite the fun within themselves with their kids!
It has been a busy season for Downs following the release of of her 2020 New York Times bestseller That Sounds Fun, including appearances on Good Morning America’s GMA3, Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family, The Doctors, CNN New Day, CBN’s 700 Club and Studio 5 shows and more.
In addition to hosting her popular “That Sounds Fun” podcast, which has received over 50 million downloads, her That Sounds Fun Podcast Network is experiencing rapid growth, having recently signed podcasts like Lauren Akins’ “Live in Love” Podcast, Ben Higgins’ “Hope Still Wins” Podcast, Carlos Whittakers’ “Human Hope” Podcast, and more. To find out more on the network overall, you can visit their new website here.

This summer, she took her “That Sounds Fun” podcast on the road for the first time ever, stopping at 12 cities all over the country. The tour was full of fun, friends, comedy, and a live interview each night featuring popular guests like country group Lady A, Broadway actresses Ginna Claire Mason and Mary Kate Morrissey, IT Cosmetics founder Jamie Kern Lima, comedian Trey Kennedy, and more.
